Feather Her Nest Baby Shower

March 8th,we had the school shower for Brandi at my house.  Brandi has a nature theme for her nursery so I
chose birds for the theme of the shower.  She and Adam have chosen not to find out the gender of the baby so I made two italian creme cakes...one with a nest with blue eggs and one with a nest filled with pink eggs.  The nests are made of chow mein noodles, almond bark, toasted coconut and eggs are jelly beans.

I found the bird cages at Joanne's and the cute little birds were purchased at Dollar Tree!

Brandi consumes a lot of bottled water so bottled water was a must. I used some printer paper(also found at Dollar Tree) that I had left  from her invitations that Jaime made for her while she was visiting and covered the bottles.  I removed the label first.

Several teacher friends contributed food and it made a great combination of sweet and savory foods.  Thanks ladies for help!

  1. Yum! Everything looks delicious. I wish I could have been there. The cakes turned out so well. Brandi is a lucky lady to have you as a friend.
