Diego is waiting for Carter to get to Louisiana

SNOW!!!!!

This is the most beautiful snow that I've ever seen in our area!  I told Don the beauty of it includes not having to worry about greenhouses caving in and that our power hasn't gone off.

Tutorial-Family Blocks

For this project I bought 1 1/2 inch blocks.
I  used craft paint and painted the edges of each block.
I made a template slightly smaller than the block's surface. I cut squares of scrapbook paper to cover each side of the block except the side for the family member's picture and name card.
I printed family member's pictures on regular paper(not photo paper.)
Adhere paper or photo to each side using Mod Podge. Allow drying time for each side. It sure is hard to wait but very necessary.
When paper is dry, apply an overcoat of Mod Podge to each side allowing drying time for each side.

You may even want to cover an old tin with scrapbooking paper and Mod Podge to hold the family blocks.  I hope the child who recieves this next Christmas will enjoy it.  I'm getting started early this year!!!!!!

This belongs on Laney's blog

I am modeling the "cozy"
that Laney made for me.
I love the color of it and
get compliments each
time I wear it.  Sissy, you
can sew for me any time you
want to! But only sew for
fun, right?
p.s. Note that I blurred the
picture.  Wish I knew how
to elongate it so I'd look taller!

Candy?

This is actually something I sewed and wanted to wrap as a gift.  I saw this idea on a blog (sorry but I don't remember which one) I think this is a great way to wrap handmade gifts.  "Sew" you'll probably be seeing this kind of wrap in your future.

Sharing with Daddy

Olivia looks like she is willing to share her index finger with her Daddy but I'm not sure she is going to let him have that thumb!  Isn't this a precious picture?
